Rolling With Dice: Spartan Super Sacramento

Just last week I headed down to Sacramento to run the Spartan Super race. The first day I got to town I decided to go the open house for the race and check out the course and a few obstacles.

Saturday was my race day and my heat started at 11:15am. The course was approx. 10 miles with 28 obstacles. Not too shabby.

Again I ran the race in TIM Gear as I always do. It just feels amazing and drys up quickly after getting wet and muddy.

This race was on a Cattle Ranch, the views were amazing there but the course had pot-holes everywhere so a lot of the time you just had to keep watching the ground.

As for some of the obstacles, this race had many walls to jump and climb some being 10 feet high, there was rolling mud, barb-wire crawl, rope climb, bucket carries, monkey bars and much more. The last obstacle on the course was the fire jump.

This was a pretty technical course because of the terrain but overall a lot of fun. I also earned my 2017 trifecta medal this time around since I now have completed the Spartan Sprint, Super, and Beast.

If running obstacle course style races is something that is of interest to you just remember to train for it as well as check out what TIM Gear has to offer in lightweight and extremely comfortable clothing that also held guys know what you like and are about.
